Southeast Memphis
If you said Southeast Memphis was booming, it would be an
understatement. It has positively exploded in the last 10 to 15 years, and is now one of
the busiest and fastest growing areas of Shelby County.
There's plenty of new home construction, with a good
selection of homes in almost all price ranges. It also offers a variety of options for
apartment living. One of its primary advantages is the combination of new suburban homes
that are convenient to many of the city's major employers, such as Nike, Sharp
Manufacturing and the Coors Brewing Company.
There is also a large concentration of retail centers, shops
and restaurants. Hickory Ridge Mall and the Mall of Memphis are two of the city's most
popular shopping malls. Other amenities include the area's parks. For baseball fans,
there's the American Legion Field. American Way Park is a favorite of softball players and
Fox Meadows Park has a public golf course.
Southeast Memphis residents can't help but feel everything
they need is right there in their own backyard.
