Raleigh, Tennessee
A part of Memphis for 20 years, Raleigh has long been one of
Memphis' favorite subdivisions. Once, during the early 1900s, Memphians would journey by
trolley car to bathe in the mineral spring at the Raleigh Inn.
Today one of the nicest features of Raleigh is its settled
look, along with the rolling terrain. Located just west of Bartlett in the northern
section of Memphis, Raleigh is just 15 minutes away from downtown and ideal for commuters.
There's a range of architectural styles, apartment communities, and shopping and
recreational opportunities. Raleigh Springs Mall is one favorite of local shoppers. The
Wolf River is nearby, as is Kennedy Park, which offers walking and hiking trails along
with sports facilities. Residents like living in Raleigh's quiet, settled residential
areas and enjoy the convenience of being close to downtown and East Memphis.
